Conference Theme: "Inspire the Future"

We are seeking dynamic, engaging, and knowledgeable presenters for the 2019 National BDPA Technology Conference and Job Fair. Last year our conference was held in New Orleans, LA, and we had over 550 conference attendees (about 200 students and about 350 adults). This year for our 41st National Conference, our goal is to double attendance.  You can join BDPA in our pursuit to “Inspire the Future” by being one of our amazing workshop presenters.

The primary conference audience consists of multiple levels of IT professionals, from entry-level technologists to senior level managers and corporate executives. Entrepreneurs and educators will also be in attendance. Workshop content and instruction should be geared to a level that is appropriate for the target audience.

The Youth Workshop audience will include middle, high school and collegiate students. Your presentation’s objective is to enhance the students' capacity to explore and utilize emerging technology. The presentation should also inspire and empower these future professionals to embrace and effectively use Information Technology in their academic and professional careers.

Proposals are solicited for 50 minutes of content, 10 minutes for Q&A  that are interactive, creative, dynamic, and feature best practices in IT. The presentation timeframe will include introductions, presentation material, question and answer session, and evaluation. Attendees should leave with specific knowledge and skills about various aspects of the topic and how it relates to their future development. Presentations should provide attendees with educational value and refrain from promoting a specific business, product, or service.
