This is proving to be very challenging as the Columbus Chapter is working on revitalizing itself.  The revitalization effort includes fostering more engagement from chapter members and the community.  We want to ensure the typical of involvement is what the person or organization wants to do and is passionate about instead of finding a way to fit into the engagement roles or activities are already defined by the Chapter.

This encourages innovation and new program ideas for our Chapter because people and bring creative programs, event and sponsorship that they are excited about leading and/or participating in.  We are becoming more deliberate with our Information Exchanges so that we aren’t just conducting them for the sake of conducting them.  They have topics that truly add value to our members to ensure they continue to feel they were engaged in a learning experience.

Another way we are revitalizing our Chapter is improving our brand and footprint.  We are starting with our website.  Soon you will see the evolutions of a new BDPA Columbus Chapter website that will display more of we are about and the things we are doing.  We want to be engaging with our website so you can get more of a return on your membership and sponsorship investment.

We are also revitalizing our Student Programs.  We will be launching a campaign for enrollment for the 2014 classes this fall.  We will be engaging volunteer instructors this fall in preparation for the 2014 Programs.

If you would like to be engaged with the BDPA Columbus Chapter, please free to let us know what you would like to be involved in or what ideas you have.  If you are interested in participating in any of the student programs, please indicate where applicable and we will put on the waiting list for 2014.
