Each year, the Washington, DC Chapter of BDPA co-hosts an Advanced Program Briefing for Interns (APBi) with HBCU/MIs. During the Regional HSCC and Industry Day in June 2010, Carla Grant-Pickens, Diversity and Workforce Programs of IBM presented a corporate overview with unique capture strategies for students seeking funded and un-funded internships in 2011. For BDPA student members, options are greater for those majoring in STEM disciplines and maintaining GPAs north of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale.
