Milestones
1989 -- BDPA / Durham Chapter was chartered on
September 15.
1999
-- Technical & resource support provided for City-wide Technology Enrichment Program.
2000
-- Strategic alliances developed with CED, RDUMBA & local corporate
sponsors.
2001 -- Launched Durham
Technology Expo during Black Family Technology Awareness Week.
2002 – Volunteers provided for Science & Technology Day held at area Middle
Schools.
2003 -- Laptops and printers provided for area high school seniors planning to attend college.
2004 -- Monthly program meetings launched at First Flight Venture
Center in RTP, NC.
2006 -- Published first (4) Editions of "Connections”
Quarterly Newsletter.
2007 -- Collegiate Speakers Series workshop held
at North Carolina Central University.
2008 -- Held PMP Exam Prep Series at Credit Suisse.
2009 -- Hosted 31st BDPA National
Technology Conference at Raleigh
Convention Center.
2010 -- Scholarships provided for an area college student & high school student.
2011 -- Held SITES / HSCC Saturday Technology Academy at St. Augustine's College.
2012 -- Held SITES / HSCC Saturday Technology Academy at ITT Tech - Durham Campus.
