Department Directors

 

 

 

Zenia Lofton:  Community Outreach - establishes and maintains relationships in the community, and recruits new members.

 

 

 

Grants and Funding - coordinates the pursuit of grants with BETF and other sources.

 

 

 

Membership Services - recruits new members, renews existing members and works with National VP of Membership to ensure membership records are current and reconciled.

 


 

James Peterson III:  Program Meetingsrecruits guest speakers, organizes & hosts monthly membership meetings



 

Bryant Crawford:  Information Technology - develops and introduces emerging technology to enable the chapter to run efficiently. Information Technology is responsible for partnering with department heads to develop applications and tools in support of chapter meetings/events, department programs and services as well as automated processes, including content management for chapter website.

 

 

 

S. Leah Miller:  Professional Services - drives the formation of certification study groups, Special Interest Groups (SIGs), works with colleges and training delivery companies to secure training discounts. 

 

 

 

Malik Swanson:  Student Services - develops, trains and mentors students in preparation for the Regional/National High School Computer Competitions, administers the summer internship program, scholarships and recruits college students.

 


 

Tracy Springs:  Marketing & Communications - partners with the executive team and department heads towards the coordination and promotion of all chapter events and activities, as well as development and communication of the Chicago Chapter Brand. Marketing is responsible for development and delivery of all internal and external chapter communications.

 


 

Cheryl Buckner Grubbs:  Educational Relationshipsdevelops and maintains relationships with educational intuitions throughout Chicagoland Marketplace.



 

Renee Hardman:  Mentor Services - develop and execute chapter mentoring program
