About Us

BDPA Chicago Chapter was chartered on March 16, 1986 as the 14th chapter nationwide and currently has nearly 400 members. The first monthly program meeting was held April 18, 1986. Since that time, the BDPA Chicago Chapter has consecutively sponsored a monthly program meeting on the 3rd Friday designed to assist members in meeting their professional and personal goals. Since its inception, the BDPA Chicago Chapter has continued to deliver programs that are innovative, relevant and informative to its membership.

Chapter Objectives

  • accumulate a pool of resources who possess both technical knowledge and business experience with the intention of utilizing these resources to strengthen the expertise of minority members of the information technology community
  • offer this expertise to those minorities evaluating information technology as a future career or business potential
  • broaden the technical knowledge of the minority community as a whole and participate in all activities directly related thereto
