IT Professional Requirements

IT Professional

To be eligible for the BDPA Information Technology Professional (BITP) certification, you must have:

  • Completed a bachelors degree in technology or equivalent education
  • Completed five years as an IT individual contributor or manager
  • Led two technology projects as a project leader
  • Conducted four IT lectures or presentations
  • Authored or co-authored two articles or technical papers

To receive the IT Professional Certification, you must also:

  • Accept and Adhere to a Professional Code of Conduct
  • Complete the IT Professional Capstone Course

IT Professional Capstone Course

This survey course provides exposure to advanced technology management practices, leadership, and organization topics. The objective of the course is to prepare Information Technology Associates and entry level experts for positions of greater responsibility and organizational leadership roles.
