BDPA hosts ‘Cincinnati Blacks In Technology’ to collaborate with the vibrant community of like-minded technology professionals of color in our city. The doors are wide open for those folks who passionate about all things technical. Our meetups encourage fun, socializing and high level talks on a variety of technology topics. IT recruiters and IT job seekers are both welcome!
This month, we explore one of the most interesting trends in the IT industry today: Bring You Own Device (BYOD). For many of us, if we are not already working in BYOD environments, it is being considered in our place of work and we must eventually come to terms with it. Social media prominence; the need for greater work/life flexibility; and continuous technology innovation have blurred the lines between phone, tablet and traditional laptop computers in both the corporate and consumer worlds. As such companies and organizations are exploring the ability to allow their employees flexibility in leveraging their personal devices for traditional business use. Join this session to learn about some of the key areas to consider if you want to implement a BYOD program.
Our guest speaker this month is LaRita Aubespin, delivery manager for Global Business Services at Procter & Gamble. In this capacity, she is responsible for assessing and transforming wicked problems by leveraging landscape assessments and disruptive innovation. LaRita has over 17 years of experience in the P&G family. She graduated from Grambling State University with a double major in computer information systems and accounting.
BDPA is pleased that LaRita will share her expertise and wisdom with attendees of this meetup. Anyone … regardless of race or color … interested in tech is welcome!
