In this webinar, we will:

  • Take a quick look at the origins of the Cloud and the technology that its built on.
  • Discuss Cloud services available to business and consumers, particularly a few new
  • ones that have grown over the past two years.
  • The future of the Cloud, the future of personal computing, and how both are being affected by the growth of the digital tablet market.

 

Presenter Bio:

 Michael Jenkins-Brown is a graduate of Iowa State University with Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Computer Engineering. Starting his career as an integrated circuit designer, Michael transitioned into various roles in information technology, working for startup companies and Fortune 500 corporations including IBM. His current position as an IT Project Manager is with Raytheon’s Technical Services Company in Dulles, VA.

In addition to managing projects, Michael combines his technical background and his passion for journalism as a professional blogger. He has been writing for his own website "South Bay Foodies” since 2008, covering food and beverage news around Los Angeles.

Michael is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and the Los Angeles Chapter of Black Data Processing Associates (BDPA). Through both organizations, he actively mentors high school students to introduce them to career opportunities based on science, technology, engineering, and math.
