The Baton Rouge Chapter of  BDPA is currently accepting applications for its 2012 High School Computer Training and Mentoring Program (HSCTP).

Registration and Orientation is Saturday – January, 21, 2012 at 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. 

Classes are held on Saturdays 9:30 – 12:00 pm beginning January 28, 2012

Southern University
Smith-Brown Memorial Student Union Computer Lab
Room 130

The purpose of this program is to teach students the basics in application development, database structure, web design, project management and more. Students will learn the following subjects: WEB DEVELOPMENT (HTML, PHP), JAVA SCRIPT, SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT LIFE CYCLE, PROJECT MANAGEMENT METHODOLOGY ETC..

Membership Fee: $25.00 (student fee)

REQUIREMENTS: · Must be in the 9th -12th grade, 8th graders accepted based on availability · Must be committed to attending all training sessions · Must have a desire to learn and appreciate valuable skills · Ability to work in a group.
