Bio Betty Hutchins
Betty Hutchins serves as an Outside Director supporting the Membership Management business area for National BDPA. In this position, she will provide executive guidance and advice to the National Executive Board and the BDPA Board of Directors.
Ms. Hutchins has served as the Vice President of Member Services for National BDPA since 2005. In this position, she managed the community outreach, student and professional development and the BDPA Career Center.
Betty Hutchins is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) with Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. She currently works as a Project Manager serving the division of Mayo Integrated Clinical Systems (MICS). She has been a Mayo employee for seven years.
A cum laude graduate of the University of Tennessee with both an M.B.A. in Marketing and B.S. in Management, Betty brings to BDPA extensive experience and leadership in business analysis and project management. Betty is a published author in the Business Management and Ethics field. She is a lifetime member of Beta Gamma Sigma, Sigma Iota Epsilon and Golden Key.
Betty grew up in Chattanooga, Tennessee and has a son, Arthur Jr. and daughter, Tanisha. She co-founded and served as President of the Chattanooga, Tennessee Chapter of BDPA and later co-founded and served as President of the Southern Minnesota Chapter of BDPA. She currently serves on the Rochester Minnesota Public Library Board and with the United Way of Olmsted County as Community Solutions Chair for Children and Youth.
