The BDPA National Information Technology (IT) Showcase allows student presenters from educational institutions across the United States, to present and demonstrate their research. The presentations represent advanced computing and technical topics presented by college and high school students to an audience of corporate representatives and IT professionals.

Students participate in this 2 day event held durint the annual National BDPA Technology Conference. The focus of this event includes, but is not limited to, intelligent technologies (i.e., smart toys, machine learning, and genetic algorithms, etc.), wearable computing technologies, web technologies, parallel computing technologies, computing curricula, business intelligence, etc.

The student Presentations/Research Projects are judged by a panel of 3 judges in two categories; college and high school. Awards are made in each category for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. The awards are presented at the Awards Presentation at the end of the IT Showcase session. Each participant will be recognized with a Certificate of Appreciation.

Student Requirements
In order to participate in the IT Showcase students must complete the requirements below. Dr. Bemley will work with each student to help them develop their research project. Student must first contact the local event coordinator to show their interest in the program. Dr. Bemley will make the final recommendation on the student's participation after the research paper is completed.

• Complete the online form at http://bdpa.site-ym.com/?page=ITShowcaseReg stating your interest to participate in the program.
• Once contacted by event coordinator, submit research topic for consideration
• Submit research paper (10 page minimum-single space)
• Create a (3x4) feet 3-panel Poster Board display (i.e., science fair) or electronic all-in-one (3x5) feet Poster depicting research topic
• Provide 2 PowerPoint presentations from the paper (15 min. duration and 45 min duration)
• Provide Photo(s) (B&W) of student
