Leadership
BDPA is governed by National By-Laws which are ratified by its membership. The National Board of Directors provides a National Executive Committee (NEC) to oversee the programs and services of the organization. The NEC is comprised of two elected positions, seven officially appointed positions, and led by the National President.
National Board of Directors
The National BDPA Board of Directors is designed to facilitate effective communication and action among its chapters across the nation. The board serves as the governing body of the organization with administrative channels through which information from the National Executive Board and National Headquarters disseminates direction. The chapters’ executive boards are modeled after the national board, which provides direction to their chapters and assist in coordinating chapter activities.

Chapters
BDPA chapters, located across the U.S., are the center of the organization's activities. Chapter membership provides the creative and programmatic thrust which directs the entire organization.
